We are again at Ash Wednesday, at the start of this rich time of preparation for Easter. As we receive our ashes, we hear the invitation to conversion, to believe in the gospel. One of our big challenges this year is to believe that praying for peace makes sense. Does my prayer make any difference? Can I be a peacemaker in a world so riddled with serious conflicts?
